ABOUT

Victoria Wiltshire is an Australian-born actor, singer, songwriter, and producer whose creative life spans stage, recording, and screen. Known for portraying intelligent, complex women—from sharp-witted professionals to emotionally layered matriarchs—her work blends depth, presence, and a quietly commanding energy.

Her journey into the arts began early and has taken many forms, from performing and songwriting to building global creative platforms. Through every chapter, storytelling and artistic expression have remained at the heart of her work.

Early Beginnings

Victoria Wiltshire, née Wu, began her artistic journey at the age of seven with piano lessons and endless hours of practice, fueled in part by her family’s lack of a television. With limited distractions, her childhood revolved around reading, listening to the radio, and playing music.

Her passion for performance was sparked at age twelve when her sixth-grade teacher introduced her class to The Sound of Music, leaving her captivated by the story and songs. From that point on, Victoria spent her time seeking out sheet music (long before the internet) and experimenting with songs on the piano while singing.

Her repertoire grew to include Billy Joel, 70s and 80s pop, movie themes, jazz standards, and musical theatre—laying the foundation for a lifelong connection to music and performance.

By fifteen, she transitioned into vocal training, beginning a decade-long exploration of classical, musical theatre, jazz, and standards techniques at the William Bates Academy of Performing Arts, alongside acting training. She later refined pop and R&B styles with contemporary teachers and completed the Acting & Movement Course for Singers at the National Theatre in 1991.

Music and Performance

At twenty, Victoria discovered her unshakable passion for live performance, singing and playing keyboards in countless bands and music groups. Over the years she has graced many stages as a frontwoman, vocalist, dancer, and keyboardist.

Her professional music career took off in 1992 when she was signed to Sony Music Australia as part of the group Culture Shock.

In 1996 she joined the Sydney production of Miss Saigon, performing in the chorus and understudying the role of Gigi.

Victoria’s songwriting and production career flourished alongside her husband, Paul Wiltshire. Together they contributed to projects for artists including Backstreet Boys and Engelbert Humperdinck, as well as numerous artists from Australian Idol, achieving over 15 million international sales and earning multiple industry accolades.

Building Songtradr

In 2013 Victoria and Paul relocated to Los Angeles, where they launched music technology company Songtradr.

True to her multidisciplinary nature, Victoria built and led several core areas of the company including design, content, customer support, and HR. She also produced and hosted global company events such as Songtradr Happy Hour, featuring industry guests including director Jon Turteltaub and composer David Hirschfelder.

A Return to the Artist

Despite her entrepreneurial ventures, Victoria has never strayed far from her creative roots.

In 2023 she participated in the Hollywood Fringe Festival, earning the Hollywood Fringe Encore Producers' Award for her role as The Alchemist in an immersive theatre production.

She has continued to deepen her craft through training at leading Los Angeles institutions including the Stella Adler Studio and the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute.

For Victoria, it has always been about telling great stories and doing meaningful work. She credits her journey to the many teachers, collaborators, and experiences that shaped her path, as well as the unwavering support of her husband and two sons.

She loves movies, singing, bold red wines, great food, and cats—and is always excited by new collaborations that inspire creativity and connection.
