Backstreet Boys
2004
It was always a long shot—the song had a unique vibe. Originally written and recorded as a demo in Victoria and Paul’s Melbourne studio, featuring the incredible voice of Gary Pinto, frontman of Australian R&B pop group, CDB, it was initially turned down by another boy band. However, the pair’s LA producer and writer/manager, Sandy Roberton (The Matrix), decided to take a chance and pitched it to the Backstreet Boys' team. The gamble paid off, and Paul and Victoria spent two jam-packed days at Westlake Studios in West Hollywood recording five monster sets of vocals. My Beautiful Woman found its place as Track 9 on the multi-platinum album Never Gone. The rest, as they say, is history.
