Victoria Wiltshire, née Wu, began her artistic journey at the age of seven with piano lessons and endless hours of practice, fueled in part by her family’s lack of a television. With limited distractions, Victoria’s childhood revolved around reading, listening to the radio, and playing music. Her passion for performance was sparked at age 12 when her sixth-grade teacher introduced her to The Sound of Music, leaving her captivated by its songs. From that point on, all Victoria wanted to do was buy sheet music (this was before the internet) and try out pop songs on the piano while singing. Her repertoire grew to include Billy Joel, 70s and 80s pop, movie themes, jazz and American Songbook standards, musical numbers, and more.

By age 15, she transitioned to vocal lessons, beginning a decade-long exploration of Classical, Musical Theatre, Jazz, and Standards techniques at the William Bates Academy of Performing Arts, along with acting training. She later refined Pop and R&B styles with contemporary teachers and completed the “Acting & Movement Course for Singers” at the National Theatre in 1991.

At 20, Victoria discovered her unshakable passion for live performance, singing and playing keyboards in countless bands and music groups. Over the years, she has graced countless stages as a frontwoman, vocalist, dancer, and keyboardist. Her professional music career took off in 1992 when she was signed to Sony Music Australia with the group Culture Shock. In 1996, she joined the Sydney production of Cameron Mackintosh’s Miss Saigon, performing in the chorus and understudying the role of Gigi.

Victoria’s songwriting and production career flourished alongside her husband, Paul Wiltshire. Together, they contributed to projects for artists like The Backstreet Boys, Engelbert Humperdinck, many of the Australian Idols, Guy Sebastian and Tania Doko, achieving over 15 million international sales and earning numerous accolades.

In 2013, Victoria and Paul relocated to Los Angeles, where they launched music tech company Songtradr. True to her multidisciplinary nature, Victoria built and led the design, content, customer support, and HR teams, while producing and hosting global company events, including “Songtradr Happy Hour,” featuring industry legends like director Jon Turteltaub (The Meg, While You Were Sleeping, Cool Runnings) and composer David Hirschfelder (Elizabeth, The Railway Man).

Despite her entrepreneurial ventures, Victoria has never strayed far from her creative roots. In 2023, she participated in the Hollywood Fringe Festival, earning an Encore Producers' Award for her role as The Alchemist in an immersive theater production. She has studied at renowned acting institutions in Los Angeles, including the Stella Adler Studio, the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute, and more.

For Victoria, it’s all about telling great stories and doing great work. She credits her achievements to the many teachers, collaborators, and experiences that have shaped her journey, as well as the endless unconditional love and support from her husband and two sons. She loves movies, singing, bold red wines, great food, and cats, and is eager to take on exciting new collaborations that allow her to grow and inspire others.
